For contemporary American fare, J. Alexander’s is known for their wood-fired cuisine. Feast of prime steaks, prime rib, and their elevated versions of the traditional burger. They offer a selection of fine wines, plus handcrafted cocktails and signature martinis.
Proclaimed as the “tiniest cutest restaurant in South Florida,” The Patio is an eatery with an intimate bistro setting. While famous for their French onion soup and homemade lasagna, they serve a variety of brasserie-inspired dishes. The food is exquisite, and so is the service. Tarot readings are another unique offering of this two-women-run restaurant.
Things to Do
Popular with residents, Colohatchee Park and Dog Park features an elevated boardwalk that takes you through wetland areas. You’ll also get views of the seven-acre mangrove preserve and the river. Spend a quiet afternoon observing nature at the picnic pavilion or with your furry friend at the dog park.
Also at Wilton Manors is Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve. The five-acre park also has a river boardwalk and observation pier. You’ll also find nature trails, a pavilion, and a boat dock. It’s home to the Historical Manor House and Carriage House, which can be rented for weddings and other special events.
